Calling for Abstracts to 2nd ASK ANNUAL MEETING: 8th Asia Conference on Kinesiology in conjunction with 18th World Congress for Kinesiologists, 2017
1. Abstract submission for ACK2017

Abstract submission for the 8th Asia Conference of Kinesiology, 2017 has opened on May 1, 2017. Greeting the first anniversary of the foundation of Asian Society of Kinesiology (ASK), this conference will be held in Keimyung University, Daegu, Korea from November 30, 2017 to December 4, 2017 in conjunction with the 18th World Congress for Kinesiologists. Under the theme of “The Value of Human Movement”, over 300 presentations are planned with more than a thousand kinesiology experts and students from 23 countries attending. Abstract Submission and Early Bird Registration will be continued to June 30, 2017. Main programs of this conference are Keynote Speeches, Highlighted Symposia, Workshops, Tutorial Lectures, Oral/Mini-oral/Poster presentations, Young Investigators Awards (YIA), and Credentialing Workshop for the Faculty of the Asian Society of kinesiology (FASK).

2. Young Investigators Award (YIA)

This award will be given to abstract presenters who are the first (primary) authors of the abstracts and win the best score in the oral (3 people) and mini-oral (3 people) presentations according to the evaluation of YIA examiners appointed by ACKOC, provided that all laureates should be under the age of 40 at the time of the conference closing ceremony. The 1st place winner who receives the highest score in YIA oral presentation will take a cash prize of 700 dollars and the prize money of 400 and 300 dollars will be given each to each of 2nd and 3rd places respectively. The YIA prizes which will be given to three people in mini oral presentation are 350 dollars for 1st place, 300 for 2nd place, and 250 for 3rd place. The ACKOC is planning to increase the prize money for the YIA every year. Participants who want to receive the YIA should apply to the YIA in the process of abstract submission and complete registration within the period that the ACKOC announces. All applications of YIA can be only in English Session. The amount of cash prize for YIA at ACK2017 will be increased more than ACK2016. Please read more here.

3. Undergraduate Presentation Awards (UPA)

The ACKOC has planned the undergraduate presentation award to stir up desire of undergraduate college students to study kinesiology, and give a chance to present their research results in front of an audience. Competition will be classified to two parts: Part 1 will contain descriptive or experimental researches, and Part 2 will be creative or case studies. Only English oral presentation is permitted in this competition. Presentation time is 10 minutes including 2 minutes of Q/A. The winner of the 1st place who receives the highest score in Part 1 will take a cash prize of 300 dollars and the prize money of 250 and 200 dollars will be given each to winners of 2nd and 3rd places in UPA. The prize money for Part 2 is 250 dollars for 1st place, 200 dollars for 2nd place, and 150 dollars for 3rd place. Also, we provide UPA applicants with discounted registration fee for ACK2017 ($78), regardless of registration period and country.

The period and procedure of UPA registration has been revised:
· All applicants should register online through the event registration section of ACK2017 website.
· Registration period was changed as follow: From September 1 to November 10, 2017.
· Abstract for presentation has to be submitted through the abstract submission section of ACK2017 website until November 10, 2017.

4. Workshop for Faculty of Asian Society of Kinesiology

To participate in the Workshop for Faculty of Asian Society of Kinesiology (FASK), you should register online through the event registration section of ACK2017 website. The Asian Society of Kinesiology (ASK) is aiming to develop the Integrated Kinesiologists’ Qualification System (IKQS) to improve professionalism, employment environment, and social & economic status of kinesiologists in Asia. ASK would like to open a workshop for the Faculty of the Asian Society of Kinesiology (FASK) to lead and promote IKQS in each country. If you participate in this workshop, you will be qualified to be a member of FASK. All participants of this workshop will be covered by ACK registration fee.
